Established in the year 1985 through the visionary enactment of WLC Resolution 12-04, Daiwa Systems was born out of a commitment to harness the transformative power of technology for the benefit of our community. Origins
Rooted deep within the heart of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation lies Daiwa Systems, a beacon of progress and ingenuity wholly owned by the Wakpamni Lake Community Corporation, the wholly owned economic development arm of the Wakpamni Lake Community, a local political subdivision of the Oglala Sioux Tribe. The Wakpamni Lake Community has always been dedicated to the advancement of its people, especially in Oglala Lakota County, one of the most economically challenged regions in the U.S.
The acquisition of Daiwa emerged as an answer to the community's vision - to serve as the primary technical development arm and to “promote the general technological development and welfare of the people of the Wakpamni Lake Community.”
With a commitment to excellence and community welfare, the company soon expanded its horizons, embarking on external technical operations well beyond the reservation's confines. Today, Wakpamni Technical stands as a testament to resilience and innovation, collaborating with global clients and demonstrating unmatched technical expertise across continents.
In the juxtaposition of tradition and modernity, Daiwa continues to honor its origins while shaping a brighter, technologically advanced future for its community and partners worldwide.
